1/2 lb butter
1/2 cup golden crown syrup
1 cup rolled walnuts
scant quart of flour
2 cups sugar
2 or 3 eggs
1 tsp salt
Cream butter and sugar. Add syrup. Add eggs, one at a time. Add walnuts, salt and stir in flour. Bake on greased pans in balls (walnut size) for 8 to 10 minutes at 375 degrees.
